Digital art. They wanted to certify the authenticity of physical artwork. We built a platform with a certificate tied to the real piece through NFC.
The problem
Provenance in the art market rests on paper that gets lost, forged or separated from the work. A digital certificate on its own solves nothing, because nothing ties it to the piece in front of you.
What we did
An end-to-end platform with a certificate of authenticity physically bound to the artwork through NFC. You hold your phone to the piece and see its history. The link between the object and its record is the product; everything else is infrastructure around it.
